Knut Egil joined Acona in 2009 as a senior advisor. He has extensive experience with communications consultancy, communications strategies, media handling, media training and communication crisis management. Before joining Acona he held the position as Director of Technology Practice in Gambit Hill & Knowlton Norway. Knut Egil has also worked as a police officer, journalist in The Norwegian Financial Daily and as a Communications Specialist in IBM.
How did you get in contact with Acona? I was actually headhunted in kindergarten. The mother of my son’s friend in kindergarten worked in Acona. I met her several times in kindergarten and we started talking about work one day. I thought Acona sounded like a great company. Later I had a short meeting with the CEO in Acona and he confirmed my impression of Acona as a solid and competent company. I started working for Acona in August 2009 and I have never regretted that decision.
What do you do for us? I am responsible for the Communications & Crisis Management team at ICC. We support our clients will all aspects of communications services – planning, courses, emergency preparedness, crisis communications, training etc.

Camilla holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from NTNU with specialization in Separation and Environmental Technology. She joined Acona in August 2010 and is currently working as an advisor in HSE & Risk. “In my time at Acona I have worked on several exciting projects such as incident investigations, emergency preparedness, risk analysis, technical safety and development of management systems. I’m also a part of the emergency response core team at the Incident Coordination Centre, as an administrative assistant.” How would you describe Acona as an employer? Acona have a unique selection of professionals from many disciplines with long experience. This entails that you always have coworkers that can provide you with assistance if necessary.
