Acona’s role would be to review proposed designs / alternatives and highlight safety concerns and pros/cons associated with alternative solutions. We would consider both industry standards and the practical aspects of each alternative.
Acona performs different forms of operational analyses. These may be in the form of reviews, or by team assessments of process diagrams or procedures (HAZOP). Our experience covers processing facilities, as well as, marine operations, logistics systems, drilling operations, etc.
Acona assists clients with assessing alternative solutions during design and engineering processes, as well as part of operational considerations. We would also provide arguments for exemption handling in situations where a standard designs would not be feasible and where a deviation from normal practices is needed.
Acona performs assessments of the functionality of new solutions, as an element to document fitness for purpose. We apply physics first principles combined with a critical and systematic attitude to identify conditions which may impair the functionality of the equipment and to identify potential areas for improvement.
Acona performs fault finding and trouble shooting of a range of challenges. Our methods include what-if analysis and MTO incident investigation techniques, in addition to the use of our multidiscipline experience.
