On behlaf on a client we are seeking two Night Drilling Supervisors.
Start up: August 15th and September 1st.
duration: Short term assignment, approx 2 months depending on the well
BSc or MSc from petroleum related studies
Minimum 5 years offshore experience as drilling supervisor.
Experience from development drilling and completion operations is preferred, both from platform wells and subsea wells.
Experience from intervention operations using wireline.
Some experience as onshore Drilling or Completion Engineer preferred.
Previous experience from P&A activities is desired.
Must hold and maintain valid IWCF (or equivalent) certificate
Good knowledge and understanding of NORSOK D-010.
Responsibilities and work tasks:
Exhibit a sound knowledge of discipline, the organizations systems, and provide a satisfactory level of competence in identified behaviors and skills required.
Work independently, provide recommendations on local/ regional issues and work/ interact with other internel/ external departments.
Initiate planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
Provide quidance within area of expertise to less senior staff and receive little direct supervision.
Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, attention to details and problem solving skills.
Contribute in ensuring compliance with both regulations and company procedures, and handle non-conformities as required;
Identify risks to people and the environment, and mitigate them so they are as los as reasonably practicable.
Proactively identify ways to continuously improve HSE performance
Stop any job that may harm people or the environment.
Transfer experiences, good and bad, which could lead to continuous improvement of HSE performance.
Delegated role from Senior Drilling Supervisor on night shift
Provides day-to-day on-site supervision of well operations on site.
Is the primary contact with the Drilling Contractor and third party to ensure operations are performed in accordance with operational requirements, guidelines and programs and in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Keeps the rig contractor night tool pusher informed about issues relating to HSE, Work Management, Simultaneous Operations and significant technical well abnormalities.
Coordinates resources of offshore execution teams
Delegated responsibilities from Senior Drilling Supervisor on night shift
Ensuring that operations comply with Repsol HSE Management System.
Be responsible for health and safety procedures being continuously enforced, and making capable decisions in emergency situations to prevent well catastrophes or significant financial losses.
Ensure that rig and platform systems and third party equipment is adequately and properly maintained
Ensure that drilling and completion procedures and programs are followed as planned and conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure changes to programs are risk assessed and risks mitigated (ALARP) and communicated to the workforce
Organize and order the necessary services and equipment to conduct drilling and completion operations
Ensure accurate and adequate reports and records are kept regarding operations, equipment, and performance evaluation.
Complete the daily activity reports.
Ensure potential pollution control problems are considered, and the contingency plans are understood by involved personnel.
Ensure that drills relating to blowout prevention and emergency are held on a regular basis.
Maintain inventory of all equipment/materials/supplies to insure a smooth ongoing operation.
Ensure timely and accurate cost follow-up
Capture operational lessons learned for continuous performance improvement.
Ensures that the handover process between the offshore execution team members is effective.
Participate in the onshore planning process when necessary
Relieve the Senior Drilling Supervisor as required
