Corporate Responsibility

In our view, Corporate Responsibility is about managing risk and opportunity.

People talk a lot about the responsibilities of business but, what in practice, does this mean? Companies must abide by laws and regulations. But at the same time, society and groups within it have expectations of how businesses should treat their customers, their employees and suppliers, the communities in which they operate and the environment.

These stakeholders are asking probing questions and challenging companies. The wrong answers or practices can damage reputation, and in some instances lead to sanctions or penalties, all of which impact on business performance.

However, there are positives too. Behaving responsibly –as well as being the right thing to do –can deliver quantifiable benefits both for the business itself, in terms of improved efficiency, reputation and trust, and for its stakeholders.

Our Corporate Responsibility (CR) team works with companies to understand and respond to this agenda. The team is based in London, with staff all over the UK.We have a wide range of expertise and advise large, mainly corporate clients on the full range of social, environmental and ethical matters from tentative first steps through to measuring and reporting the outcomes.
